Will not go back here. Took my son for an allergic reaction to a sting and the nurse administered epinephrine incorrectly. This mistake could have been life threatening, fortunately my son was young, healthy and able to recover from the mistake. We later were told that the nurse who administered the medication was still completing the orientation phase of his training. Why wasn't he being supervised? He had no right administering medication without his attending supervisor present. His supervisor was nowhere to be seen throughout our visit until the very end when she came in to apologize for the mistake. This lack of supervision goes against ALL state requirements and someone needs to be held accountable.
Best experience I’ve ever had at an ER. To the people writing the bad reviews u have obviously never been to butler Hospital. Talk about terrible! 8 hours I spend last time I went there and 4 was waiting room!
check in was quick even for a early Sunday morning you figure it would be a lot busier after Saturday night but nah it was super chill in there friendly clinical staff nurses and medical assistants were sexy and made me wanna stay kinda had the whole we're gonna shoot a porno in a hospital feel plus they seemed to know their job and do it well. However the doctor that was treating me seemed incompetent, I was told that having sharp chest pains and numbness in limbs was normal and he didn't think it's worthy of being treated as an emergency?! In my opinion if you have an emergency don't go here, test your luck and hope like hell you can make it to another treatment center.
Can I give no stars? This place is ridiculous. I have to schedule blood work and can't just go in to schedule so I called the pre registry number. I talked to 3 different people and all of them said something different. First guy said that they don't have 8:00am appointments eventhough I said I need an early appointment so he puts me in at 9:40am didn't ask if it was ok and said thank you for choosing UPMC and hung up. Second lady couldn't make an appointment without knowing what doctor ordered it so how did the first guy make my appointment? Third guy said that since I havent been there since 2013 and that they don't accept my insurance that I would have to pay out of pocket. Why didn't the other 2 people tell me that? This place has made me so mad that I'm going to Quest now.
Upmc was amazing and super friendly with my little ones!! I was in and out in 1.5 hours and got all the help we needed! I’ll only go here from now on!! My visit was tonight 10-5-17 at 7:45pm! Thank u all again!!!!!
