Speedy furniture is an oxymoron. Ordered a bedroom set in March and received it in May. Had to call twice to get updates. No courtesy calls, no apology, no priority shipping, no credit, didn't offer to pick up all delivery charges. Nothing. If you buy from here then be sure to ask "is it in stock?" What is the lead time, etc., otherwise they'll tell you "you should get it with 1 to 2 weeks" without even checking availability of what you ordered. Personally, I have no problem waiting as long as the sales rep tells me upfront that I'll be waiting, and provides status updates when appropriate but if you do nothing, then you get a review like this one, and a promise that I won't be back. The next day, the owner worked with me to determine a time that he could bring the sectional in his own vehicle. After we had realized that the timing would not have worked, my fiancé and I decided to rent a Uhaul and pick up the sectional ourselves. When I called to tell the owner, he immediately refunded our shipping cost AND paid for the Uhaul.
The staff at Speedy are very friendly and helpful and the sectional that we purchased is fantastic. The staff worked quickly to set up a shipping date through their subcontractor.
Although there was a hiccup, we definitely plan to shop here in the future for any of our furniture needs. And oh ya, we love the sectional!
On the day of the shipment, we received a call that the truck had broken down and that we would receive the shipment that evening, however, after the store had closed for the evening the shipping company realized they would not be able to make it and did not call (not the fault of Speedy at all!).
If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased almost $5,000 of furniture on 9/5/16. The delivery was faster than expected. After 5 months of use I realized that the couch was breaking down. I stopped by Speedy Furniture on 3/9/17 and talked to Tiffany. She said that she would immediately order a replacement part and have someone come to my house to fix it within 3-6 weeks. After 5 weeks (4/13) I contacted them to check the status and Mark told me that was just a estimated amount of time. He said that it would be 1-2 more weeks. 5/2/17 (8 weeks) they came to attempt to fix the furniture. Speedy furniture ordered the wrong part. 5/17/17 they came again to attempt to fix the furniture. Sure enough they didn’t order the correct part. 5/18/17 Mark called back and said they talked to Ashley Furniture and it will be 3 additional weeks before the correct part comes in. I will be at 13+ weeks from the initial visit to have the issue corrected.
Went last Saturday and came across Speedy Furniture! The owners were super friendly and helpful. Weren't pushy at all. Delivery came 7 days later. Delivery Guys brought it in, set it up, made sure power worked. Everything came out great! I'd definitely come back!!
I heard about Speedy Furniture through my mom's friend and was pleasantly surprised after my first visit there. I found couches in the style we were looking for for much less than Levin's. Their business model is genius and the owner's are very helpful. The entire process was easy and painless. Would definitely recommend.
